We AreA Poem by Alexx
The rays of morning sun lay upon her face
Honeydew had entered our noses. On this field we lay from night, 'till dawn's break Love being anything but corrosive. There are no iron bars here, material or not Our eyes still blurred from waking Having this freedom of never being caught, In the net of rule breaking, Was liberating. Free to laugh and sing and run, but not run away. What were we to run from now? We loved and held each other and played. Whose god were we asking to now? This field is our own, our temple of humanity, Although it's flat with green grass. No money, no religion, no fear of blasphemy, We are our own gods, and it Was liberating. © 2014 AlexxReviews
