Quitters Never Prosper but Cheaters Always Win

Quitters Never Prosper but Cheaters Always Win

A Poem by Alexxander Cross
"

Just the truth. This person understands everything

"

I guess I fooled myself

Eternal isn’t long

Infinite doesn’t exist

No matter how many time you reassure me.

Was it a lie?

At the time, no.

Now, yeah.

I fooled myself, I guess.

“Anything to make you happy,”

I’m not.

Because of you

I hesitated

These words don’t explain.

The only thing I receive through this is humiliation

Not to me

But to you

Things held close to me, just thrown

The worst part, because there is one

The worst part

I think I forgive you again

No matter how battered up you’ve made me

I still will forgive you

Although you may not

I do

~acs~

And I mean it.

You have it bleeding and pounding

You’ve always had it

My heart.

“Should I give up,

Or should I keep on chasing pavements?”

Can you tell me

And mean it?

Cheaters all Ways Quitters Never Prosper but Win

The title was an indespensible part of this read. I am not sure I understand it yet, I will have to let it rest and come back to it. Thanks for the write. Barb.
