Visions

Visions

A Poem by Alice.Valkyrie

The earth stopped one day

on it's daily rotation

and it's migration around the sun

The intensity of the rays

burned the motionless earth

that was facing it

to a crisp

And I stared at the devastation

seeing red

and the heat drilled holes

into my brain

Turning away

I spoke to the crowd

and fire and lasers

gushed from my mouth

destroying the curious onlookers

Alone, I looked down

and the crust of the earth melted

beneath my feet

dropping me to the molten core

of the planet

As the rock solidified

above my wondering head

I thought to myself

and considered

I was a part of what was left.

Not much,

but more than I was before.
