Don't Open The Door

Don't Open The Door

A Poem by Alice
"

A monster one the other side, or perhaps his helpful guide?

"
I heard a screeching at my door
i had heard it there before.

screeching and screaming you told me 'Believe me!'

you told me to save you, you told me 'i blame you!'
it was your mistake! i tried to say,
but i was to full of petty foolish rage.

as i dream of the day i attend your wake,
i try to convince you that it was all fake.

i heard your moans of pain,
hearing the last breath you would take.

i remember thinking i was sane
that was clearly my one mistake.
