To Wait

To Wait

A Poem by Alice Patinkin

It’s such a nice feeling to wait for you

The silence, like baited breath, or the silence before a storm

Hangs like a sweet fruit hangs on the vine

During its time of waiting

For the gardener’s hand to find.

such a small poem but so powerful. I love it when a writer can say a lot with a little. Shows power and urgency..........also I get distracted easily. lol
