No Regrets

No Regrets

A Poem by Alice
"

I loved fully, I let go gently—no regrets, just lessons.

"

I loved with all I had to give,
I gave my heart, I chose to live.
No regrets for what I tried,
Even when it hurt inside.
The tears I cried, the paths I took,
Were lessons learned, a deeper look.
I won’t go back, I won’t pretend,
But I’ll stand tall until the end.
Out of love, I gave my best,
But now I know I need to rest.
No regrets for what has been,
I just won’t do it all again.

I am nearly 75 and everything said in this poem is exactly how I feel. No regrets but won't do it all again.

That is a very sorrowful poem which represents what heartbreak feels like but not holding grudges. Reminds me of myself, because of how calm I am with almost everything. Although you could add more about what happens after.
