A "Life" of Ignorance

A "Life" of Ignorance

A Poem by David Sarori

What's the point of life if not to try and understand
to live for the mysteries miniscule and grand?

And yet there are those who've not a thing to ask
who slump through life, day by day, task by task.

Those who never wonder over what they see
comforted by the shallow arms of monotony

My pity goes out to those who can't ask "why?"
Who think their only purpose is to live and let die.

What is life without reading between the lines?
I don't know, but I'll tell you this, it's no life of mine.
