Sighing

Sighing

A Poem by Melissa Kellum

I want to walk barefoot in your soul for awhile,
leaving sandalwood-rose scented footsteps;
sway my hips to your silken dreams.

I want to be tangled in your tomorrows
and wrap us up against your past;
daring through the dark, loving in the light.

I want to plant myself in your heart beat
growing to the end of your tightening nerves;
encasing you in a rich, moist earthy embrace.

I want to pour my joy of you into every crack
filling every pain caused break in your hopes;
drowning your doubts in passionate contentment.

...I'll be there; feeling the absence of nothing,

...I'll be there; watching the stars weep in their loneliness,

...I'll be there; a gentle net to bring you safely to shore

...I'll be there; one hand on my heart, the other on yours-

Blessed in the knowledge that they will always sing the same song.

I'm just a girl that likes to set words to page in the hopes that others will start to see the world the way I do- A crazy kaleidoscope of bitterness and belief, of love lost and love never had, of.. more..
