The End

My Third poem. best one YET!!

The End...

Happiness is hard to have..

If only I could feel that way..

But I know it's never true..

To face the facts

that I will die alone..

The end is coming for me..

No one to share my love..

No one knows how I really feel..

To know that I am alone

and know that no one cares..

The only person I can trust

is my own heart..

The end is coming for me..

My tears crash around me and

drown out everything and everyone I see and know..

The end is coming for me..

Drowning in my own tears

I let go of all the memories

and sink to the bottom of the endless ocean

Staring Death right in the face..

"Your time is now" he leads me to my grave..

Looking up to the sky

I see the light

Should I go to it?

Should I leave and never come back?

Heading towards the light I start to smile..

I am where I belong here in heaven..

I have found my happiness.

I find this poem sad; that someone can only find happiness in death. Yet I could feel the allure of death, and it's peaceful happiness, while reading the poem. I can only suspect it is because of your great prose :)

I especially liked the whole "Drowning in my own tears" metaphor. Nice poem, I look forward to reading more of your work in the future :)

Its nice, as if giving in to death, not fighting it! constructive criticism: your heart isn't a person, so it stood out, you can rely on yourself and your mortality if you mean it as in you can only rely on your body to fight the impending death etc. as ultimately, when dying you can only hope your body is strong enough to fight it! But a nice concept and nice write!
