time for a change

happiness is parasailing ... except if scared like me

 

 

Peace on earth is guaranteed

but how can it be free

Peace on earth is warranteed

but not for you and me

 

Love may come it often goes

but can we be without

Love your friends as well as foes

but understand the doubt

 

Happiness may be a part

of everything we do

Happiness is just a start

it need just start with you

 

Equal rights for all mankind

it sounds so sound to say

Equal rights we’ve been so blind

we have to find our way

 

Freedom is as freedom was

we sing it all the time

Freedom rings it always does

as freedom bells will chime

You've been listening to your "Hair" album again, haven't you? And I thought the Doctor had finally persuaded you that wasn't helping!
I do love your rhymed verse, Allen (or was this one by Nella?) But then, I love most ALL your verse--I can't help myself, the anticipation of thinking I'm going to know some part of the future of a poem, even a line or two into the future, just helps my mind wrap around it. Sorry...? And having the first and third lines echo thus adds, to my mind, even more. A fine poem, my friend, and an attractive philosophy, to boot.

To have peace and freedom is hard. Freedom mean people have the ability to choose. Freedom mean standing your ground. Peace mean trying to understand and work with other people and countries for one goal. Hard to have the two goals on the same plate. Peace is giving in and forgiving. Freedom is the dream for people to decide their life and dreams. Do we have freedom today? A powerful poem. Made me think.

I agree this world and each and every individual is due for a change. It is hard to find and have peace on earth now adays. Can we be without love? If we have not love then I believe we have nothing at all.
It takes just one, one person, one start, for change.
