A short piece about a wolf

Their blue eyes peirced the dark, shining like the moon, yet filled with with fear and despair. Their sleek bodies moved swiftly throught the forest, heavy paws making little sound as they hit the Earth. Starlight streamed down throught the trees, glimmering on silken fur, rippling softly in the wind. A lone howl peirced the starlit yet sorrowful night as each animal gathered around their youngest pack member; His long, raven fur tumbled to the ground,turning even darker as his blood was shed. He laid on his side; The breaths were fast, and the last one catching in the dying wolf's throat. White hot pain shot through his trembling body, but not once did he make a sound. The young liquid eyes turned slowly dull, poorly reflecting the night sky they would never see again.
