A poem I wrote one day from listening to way too many love songs. It's pretty old and I just found it on my computer.

As I close my eyes,

I see your face,

Your smile

I get that feeling of security,

And I know I'll never be hurt

You're always there for me

And I can truly say you care

But the only thing that saddens me is...

When I open my eyes you aren't near me

I have no clue where you are

I just see you in my dreams

If thats the case should I keep dreaming?

Or should I just wake up and face reality?

You tell me we'll be together one day,

But when is that day going to come?

You tell me to be patient,

But my patience grows thinner each day

Slowly I am learning...

To be patient just for you

Even though I'm hating how slow the days go by

I'll wait for us to meet

But until then

I'll keep dreaming of you

And I know that somewhere

You're dreaming of me too
