Flowers

Flowers

A Poem by Kasey Jones
"

I know, it's a popular concept. Here's my take on it.

"
Compact bundles of
Life and beauty
Brightening up our world.

We never notice
The useful attributes.
Just their lovely colors.

Do they know
That their names are just for show?
Do they mind being called "flowers"?

Perhaps, for generations,
Flowers have seen us as decorations,
As less worthy creations.

Have they given us a name?
We have no way to tell.
And still more flowers to sell.

Rhythm is great....the subject matter even better. I do believe there are flowers on a another planet ordering a dozen german immigrants for their mothers. LOL...I loved this, nice write.

The rhythm flows well as it did before the edits. The ending line shows that even if we think these thoughts, people never stop to change their habits. I enjoy this poem.

I like how you turn it on the humans. You may want to mention how people throw out flowers and how flowers feel about that. I really like it. The line "Anything" is a bit out of rhythm. You may want to scratch the last line but other than that, an incredible flow to it.
