Rush of Red

Rush of Red

A Poem by papermush08
"

Bleed as you may

"
Gasp and sigh
Perish or die

Heart is ripped
Soul is gripped

By cryptic truth
In destiny's ruth

Sorry, sorry
I made a foolish plea

Self-inflicted plight
Restless, hopeless flight

Should I let go?
Or go with the flow?

Gardens made in paradise
Rainbows casting on grey skies

Smiles overshadowing grief
Fanciful love to my relief

Sooner or later
Are sweetness turning bitter

Too high,too far
A despair on a wishing star

Too quick,too fast
Nothing beautiful can really last

Too long,too deep
It's eternal roads I leap

Once again it's jagged
I'm strained and jaded

Poignant piece of poetry
Sets me to my brittle fantasy

Abrupt and excruciating
In a second,I'm spontaneously bleeding

It was a good read. Just that in parts you tried a bit too hard to rhyme the words and the impact kind of reduced. But good work overall
