When the World Sleeps

When the World Sleeps

A Poem by papermush08
"

sweet agony

"
Clock ticking, the silence gets louder
with no company, it feels harder
Nothing can explicitly decipher,
no one would sanely deliver
from my shackled core; debilitated
the secrecy turning me deflated
My ego can be hated,
if everybody heeded
To my luck it's still a locked mystery,
to my misfortune I own it helplessly
How long? how far? What's really meant to be?
Signs could kill, they sometimes deceive me
or maybe I'm too scared to stay
and feeble for love to lead the way

I love the masterful use of language in this piece. The frustration and emotional latency bleeds out with every word. Well crafted, keep it up.
