Arm Chair

Arm Chair

A Poem by Ammar Ali
"

Struggling Nights

"

I was sitting on a chair

With a mind full of despair
Surrounded by the blood flares

Death all around with no one to share
Except for an image;

The image of a gruesome prayer!

Too numb to shriek,Too hard to breath
It was yet another demon's lair!
A growl of hopelessness was in the air

Voices of children crying and scared
Rolling agony with poisonous glare

With a dead and masochistic stare
It was standing in front; like a nightmare!

I closed my eyes to accept the blare

But Just when Soul was about to tear
Voices vanished with brain bare

It was just another usual night
I spent in my armchair!
