Lost She Fell!

Lost She Fell!

A Poem by Arielle Ann

"Crucio"...they term the "unforgivable curse" ,they aimed at her,
Crying in agony,fainting with despair,
Thrashing in pain, grovelling on the floor she lay,
"Plead I to Thee" to the foe she prayed,
Grant me the "Avada Kedavra",the curse that ends,
The life entrapped in shackles, bounded with thy iron chains!

Shapeless demons, hovered in the sky above,
Her cries,oh! Hopeless grief threatened to surmount,
"Dementors" swooped down,lifting their hood,
"Kiss me",release me of my soul,
Exempt me from this ail,
Unendurable that is in thy fathomed wood!

Was she the maimed babe that in "King's Cross" lay?
Pitiable ,so beyond repair as "Dumbledore" abandoned it to stay?

Bared teeth, those "Merpeople" in hot pursuit,
Misleading the maid, sneering in evil glee,
Riddles barricading her path yet unlaid!
Seeking for a vial, eluding millions but
What had they labelled the"Felix felicis",
Bestows you luck, the bereaved yet believes!

Resting on the cold hearth, with tears unshed,
Gazed she so long at that "Mirror of Erished"
In that glass which manifests wishes coveted,
The tears gushed ,flooding the floor
Helpless,the impulse blinding her vision,
Oh!an angel can't you emerge, there's the open door??

Staring still at that smoky glass,
She glimpsed her bearing the "Elder Wand",
Triumphing over the endless sorrow,
Sighing,
Coz that is a dream, an unreachable tomorrow!

Slowly emptied she the vial into her lips so pink,
"Oh no" my beauty, thy drink it not,
That is not the "Felix",that you so often had sought,

Oh Alas!
Wispy and devoid of the breath she fell,
Death was her escape,to heaven from the earth she called hell!

A powerful story leading the reader to a very good ending. I like the flow of the story in the poem. The ending is true with many people.
"Oh Alas!
Wispy and devoid of the breath she fell,
Death was her escape,to heaven from the earth she called hell!'
Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.

This is SUPERB Anisha! And gripping! I'm a great fan of Harry Potter so the moment I saw the word 'Crucio' it ticked me off! You talk about this adventure the girl is having, but the hurdles leave her in a devastated state...I would say that is a step forward from HP ( in the Deathly Hallows it was more about the fighting; but in this piece you actually show the toll violence can have on your body or mind).. There's also a great sense of mysticism..All the time I was reading it, I thought who is that girl? Hermione? Then I came to to the part about holding that Elder wand and I thought this might be Bellatrix... But you leave that to the reader's imagination!! Things left unsaid always makes you yearning for more and this was no exception!! Nice work!! I recommend you come up with a series of sequels- that would be quite a fan-fiction write :)

of course....I shall try coming up with an idea :)
I loved it! It has great rhythm and connects to HP without directly mentioning it. You made a new character ...
