We Wonder - Love in Nature!

We Wonder - Love in Nature!

A Poem by Arielle Ann

Sweet cherubs blossom that sunny morn,

Whilst I graze my toes on thy lush green corns.

Scented is the breeze that ruffles my tresses,

With my skirt so dainty, sweeping thy grasses!

Racing towards thy lane in haste,

Where my lover so bonny is yet to pass!

Oh! I sight him awaiting far over there,

Beneath thy bough yet antique, with patient desire.

Where we used to shield in that hollow amidst thy oak,

Oh! Our letters; ignorant to thy million passing folk!

Enfolding his hands, staring through his virtuous eyes,

The wind gushes hard, with robins in the skies!

Breathing in his fragrance, smoothening the tousled hair,

We shall now dwell together, am here for you to care!

We laze by the stream; the waters,

Cascading with its million glistening stars,

Awed at the beauty,

Hail to her, the Almighty!

Her blessings, selflessly showered on the mass,

We wonder at thy nature, brimming with love bestowed upon us!

We wonder, at those mountains,

With their white capped curves,

Purest in their form, with firs marking the lanes,

The pines so divine cascading in that eternal chain!

We wonder, at thy rain,

As the drops splash my lips,

Drenching me to the skin,

I rejoice at the freshness,

Yet ignored and so often unseen!

We wonder, at thy blossoms,

The colors of love and pain,

Can you my artists, ever conjure the shades?

With all your brushes, strokes and paints?

We wonder at thy oceans,

With the waters sparkling blue,

At the miracles underneath,

Veiled in thy Neverland beneath!

We wonder, at thy sun as it bids us Adieu,

Receding and unfolding its eternal crimson hue!

We wonder, at thy woods so green,

With paths unbeaten and unseen!

We wonder, at thy infinite deserts,

Mirages eluding, sand dunes vast,

Of oasis and lagoons, with no bounds to surpass!

We wonder, Doesn’t the Lord upon nature manifest?

Vestiges of love, in her glorious crest?

With the tweet of the birds, with the corns so green,

Canopies overhead, shielding us within,

Hand in hand, through the road we pace,

Marveling at the Mother, exalting in her grace,

With Her blessings so cherished, adorning us in embrace!!

Rich in metaphor, and content.
I am not so inclined, as Dinish is, to judge form..I personally write by intuition..sometimes rhyme shows up, but so be it..
I think it is called blank verse?
The wonder of this poem is in the use of the word..wonder
To wich I add-- wonder full, or wonder filled.

Namaste

You have a good vocabulary. The only lack of this poem is the rhyme scheme, you should regulate it. And the meter too, if you will. This hit me as a good, grand thought. But as a poem, as a rhythmic story, it needs to improve.

Keep writing.
