Mother's Day

Mother's Day

A Poem by Amy J

Minds alike, time between

We’re sisters, blue and fair

Well you gave birth to me I s’pose

But why go splitting hairs

You’ve got my nose, I’ve got your eyes

No way to tell us apart

Perhaps a stray curl here and there

But identical at heart

You’re the yin and I’m the yang

There’s order in our disarray

So here we are, two soul sisters

One saying, Happy Mother’s Day

to achieve and adult relationship with our children is a great blessing ... especially these days when respect is not so popular .. the human dichotomy i read in your poem makes the relationship even stronger .. we are the same; yet different .. yins and yangs abounding eh!? nice tribute to Ma's of every descriptions says i!
