A Poem by John Prophet

Provenance.
Observation.
All around.
Endlessness.
Inhospitable
endlessness.
Voids
of frozen
darkness.
Balls of
burning
plasma,
fire.
Radiation.
Crushing
gravity.
Dead
spinning
orbs.
Inorganic,
rock.
Suffocating
gases.
Yet,
in all
this a
twitch.
Something
twitched.
Took form.
Moved!
Out
of the
cauldron.
Cool
movement.
Unexplainable
movement.
Somehow.
God?
Quantum
serendipity?
Both?
Who
among us
is qualified
to say!
