Glory

Glory

A Poem by John Prophet

Glory.
Praise be.
Understanding.
Complex.
Existence.
How?
Why?
How to
make
sense?
Human
capacity
to know.
Limited.
Overwhelming.
Eyes open.
Overwhelming.
Endlessness.
Beyond
comprehension.
What
to make
of it
all?
What
to hold
on to?
Creation.
Mind
built.
Envisioned.
Fashioned,
meeting
need.
Stories
told.
Evolving.
Reflecting
immensity.
Spun up
from
humble
beginnings.
To glorious
trappings.
Underlying
uncertainty.
Reflecting
universal
glory
of the
quest.

Summarizes the current human condition quite well, this one. We have come a long way from "humble beginnings," but we still don't what to make of It. Much, much still to be uncovered, but as you say, the quest is a glorious one.
