Leaving

Leaving

A Story by Sapphus

When you told me you were leaving it was a blow like no other blow. Like a Bulldozer slammed in my face. Like a heavy bookshelf fell on me. Like a roadroller crushed me.

Sapphus,

I can feel the pain in each and every word that you have spoken to pen of page ...

Very poignant piece of writing in current relation to my own life, my own life, who did not just leave in that sense of a relationship gone to hell's laundrybasket, but just caught COVID, suffered horribly, and died ... She couldn't help her leaving ...

You mate could ... And that fact makes your pain of much more consequence that is mine, even in losing my wife of 49 years ...

Breaking relationship is like killing the other. Good poem.
