Meditation on Meditation

Meditation on Meditation

A Poem by Sapphus

Eyes closed? Eyes opened?
Kneeling or reclining?
Or simply wining and dining?
In silence or in song
Or in midst of milling throngs?
Staying still and motionless
Or moving at 100 kms no less??
How to meditate?
Perhaps by just enjoying whatever my state?

Thank you JD :)
Meditation on the run
This exemplifies my style...
life is too hurried, no time to stop and do what is considered normal meditation...
it has to be in whatever state we are in.
Such a thoughtful piece here.

I wish it fell in place earlier. Thank you Jacob.
Many different schools have exact rules on how to meditate, but the last two lines of this one would be my choice. If you are continuously enjoying your present state of mind, enlightenment can't be far off.

True yoga I read is in what delights the soul. Thanks.
I agree with Andra on her review statement below. We cannot escape our state so the best meditation is done just in the present, being just what we are. Great meditation sir Sapphus.
