This poem came from a prompt of a single word, in this case used as the title. Not sure why it went the direction it did, but I hope you dig it.

There is a subtle twist to this one, I think. I am still trying to get the full gist of it. It seems to be saying to me, right or wrong, that the love spoken of/about here has, over time, turned to dust and has now become only "..a letter on my nightstand." Am I even close? No matter, I loved it. :)
