My Mirror

I don't know if this is truly classified as a poem or a short story. I honestly consider it more of a musing. Most of my stuff is based on emotions.

I look in the mirror, and I know what you’ll ask me.  “What do you see?” 
I see more than you can ever guess.
 I see myself as I want you to see me.
 I see a smile, a helping hand.  I see sadness and anger. 
I see what I can become.  
“That can’t be true,” you would answer.  
I would shake my head with a smile.
I know you don’t understand what I am.  I say it with a smile.  
I bare my teeth just a little, but you wouldn’t catch that would you? 
You would hang your head with a sigh. 
I would grin, a wolfish thing.
I would laugh inside, knowing that you see just me. 
I look in the mirror and I see the beast and me. 
I see my skin, my smile, my eyes, and I see what you can’t. I see me.
I smile on the inside, but I hide away.  
You would turn away from me but I would just wave.  
“I know you don’t understand, so please don’t try.”  I would call.
Then back to the mirror I would turn, because we all can see our beast in the mirror. 
Behind your eyes hides the world.
Behind your eyes lies the sea.
Behind your eyes holds what you truly are, so look into my eyes and see me.

Another musing. I have a lot on my mind and I love a good release. Forgive me if I confuse you. This one is more or less based on acceptance. Please excuse any grammatical errors.
