A Letter To You

i said the last poem was my last, I guess it is not.. this is my forbidden love continued.

A letter to you,

I was 13 when I first,

gazed upon you.

Now i'm 15 still exploring,

the idea of loving you.

I love you so much,

So much I gave you a special nickname.

The love we have is delicate,

such a painful terrain.

We both left, and came back,

I guess it wasn't end game.

We talked randomly,

Out of the blue.

But rejoin it's the same,

With you it's easy, nothing new.

Still, you are not mine,

You are free to do what you do.

I'm free as well,

But this love is too strong,

For it is you I choose.

I like this submission. I'm reminded of how innately powerful our emotions are in our youth. Joy, melancholy, love, and hate. They are like wounds that refuse to heal, or smiles that never want to end. Keep writing, whether you choose to share with others or not, your heart wants to speak so let it. You never know whose life you can change with the stories or poems you tell.
