Buried In My Tears

Buried In My Tears

A Poem by Anaya

Blue skies,

Under the sea.

Water,

Dragging me down from beneath.

I scream and I scream.

But the water suppresses my shouts,

From reaching the surface.

Even if your ears were on,

The water prevents them from doing their sole purpose.

The water is not from the ocean,

It is a convention held by my tears,

The tears that were formed from,
Suppressing all of my fears.

I scream,

I shout,

But waters all

That comes out of my mouth.

I see your blurred figure above,

So I wave my hands all about,

I forgot you were blind.

Still I deny the reality that,

I’m never getting out.
