Normalities

Normalities

A Poem by Anaya

You think i’m not normal,

You think im foreign to this world,

Yet I think I am all the stupid tropes in one.

I am the pretty human, with the dark heart,

The one who ends everything before the start.

I am the super-smart teen, that plays dumb,

The popular girl, who wants to have fun.

The broken teen, with teary eyes,

With pain that she only explores inside.

I’m the girl that likes boys,

But also the girl, open to liking girls.

I am the little mixed kid, with a head full of random curls.

I am the sensitive being, with a deadbeat dad,

Still seeing him as the one I wish I had.

I’m the lost soul,

I’m the broken heart,

The crazy girl that sleeps in the dark,

I’m the writer, i'm the poet,

The one who likes only the coldest.

The fashionista, thats likes to dress,

Slightly different from all the rest.

I am human,

All the normalities in one,

15 years old,

My life barely begun,

But somehow you have already marked me

As none.
