"The Next Write..."

"The Next Write..."

A Poem by Chris

"The Next Write..."

Coffee...

sipping - holding ...

touching ...

quietly and more quietly - breathing.

A slight turning, moving,

beckoning... and being drawn.

The head just slowly nods,

tilts
- just so ~

Fingertips moving,
flowing,

floating

...Sitting here thinking now of what another write should be...

what's precious is its like having you at my shoulder gazing into MY world.  I can feel your hand tightening on my arm, your cheek near brushing mine as you watch the thoughts coalesce into existence

...our existence.

A whisper ~ me to you or was it you to me?

" I wonder if an errant sunbeam caught and then snatched your awareness up and away to fanciful wisps of dreams and fantasies of both play and real..."

A woman should have her fancies stroked and softly caressed.  She should have a moment to dream and just weave her thoughts into tapestries of whim.

~ Running and running - alone, through fields and fields of flowers and waving grasses under bright and yet soft blue and fluffy cloud-filled skies - soft laughter so filling and free, echoing and echoing...

~ Standing alone on the top of a sharp-edged crag - staring out and out into wind and storm torn fragments of a world now so far away - the sheer strength of will and personal character so completely evident to all that witness from her below, and behind...

~ Being with HER children ...a picnicking moment, so selfless and yet so full of self and days' dreams ...A playground - the laughter bubbling and clear and flowing and flowing.

Sunlight is so glimmering and shimmering
and seeming to just dance across the heavens.

...Rainbows fading into mists nearby -
so close my hand rises
- our hands just reach and reach -
without any conscious thought...

...Handing you a small, hand-just-picked bouquet of wild-flowers that just can't compare to the glow you have -

and I feel...

this is my next write.

...and isn't this just what writing is like sometimes.
I love the multi-layered effect.
Allow the ideas to seduce our minds.

it truly is how we are...
Thoughts floating around, standing ,running ,"storm torn fragments of a world now so far away" didn't fit when I read the first time ,now its a sticky glue, giving the piece more strength, as you told me "strong",Thank you for pulling the subconscious to the front,- our hands just reach and reach-
without any conscious thought... Sets my mind to lots of soft involuntary thoughts
Grace to you.

Good thoughts... nice of you to pause.
Oh my, these words make this woman gasp, pause, gather breath, then.. read again! The thoughts behind them are quite incredible, the phrases utterly beautiful, they seem to .. what? Flow and glow like liquid moonlight!

You see Woman in her sweet kindnesses and fragility, you laud her abilities, her strengths and weaknesses, her all encompassing love, her willingness to stand alone and yet take on the world. Seems you admire and say so in the most gentle of terms, as always you do. Here you've held hands and led feelings through the best things in life, that sweet posy of wild flowers is far more valuable than hothouse blooms, and for a She to be compared to that glow is more than divine love.

You watch and understand, Chris, 'A woman should have her fancies stroked and softly caressed. She should have a moment to dream and just weave her thoughts into tapestries of whim.'

Every woman should read this and smile! I did, I am.

glad you paused Robin... hope your day goes well.
Some things only a poet's mind (and a Woman's) will appreciate .. the small delicate wonders, flowers, fields or waving grass & flying over rainbows .. and whispers of two, so silently warm, and in tune, they are one .. .. You understand strengths, and the need to dream .. and what it means to give & to witness, the joy of smiles, and laughter .. Sometimes it's all we really want .. to smile .. and be taken away, to bright sunshine days , with wildflowers and rainbows .. and love .

Thanks for the magic .. Jazz
