"We Lived With Change..."

"We Lived With Change..."

A Poem by Chris
"

A Friday's thought...

"

I wandered the pixel world this morning.  Paused here …while looking “there” and there and there too.  I had some coffee, listened to and felt some’s misgivings and anxieties, was touched by both sunshine and season’s chill, breathed air from Singapore and Oz.  My paths took me through venues and by-the-ways.  I even wondered of traffic in the towns of Fukushima’s Prefecture and midday within the city of London.

I had the beginnings of a real conversation with a poet that at first didn’t realize we were talking ~ or perhaps she did realize it but her inherent nature kept her …more thought-full and near immediate voice-less.  After a bit, I wandered on.

I thought of permanence and impressions, yesterdays and the impact of so many different tomorrows - each felt in their own unique semblance, time-line, and people peculiar slices and shards of existence.  I thought about people and family - and the stress of movings and awakenings, all the cumulative changings throughout our normal lives, our acceptance toward and the depth of Rage felt, expressed, and let go and even our surviving daily success or just dealing with our own failures to thrive.  I thought of an uncommon epitaph:

“We Lived With Change…”

We lived with …change.

Words to live by.

Worlds some died - by.

Times often described by

limits

and “Remember when(s)?”

And we - lived, or didn’t …really,

lives that existed within,

unstable frames -

uncertain beginnings.

Each continuing meant

yet another loss to be accepted

- another set “difference” to adjust to,

another …time… to relate to.

Yet another “pause” to reconsider - everything

even ends.

Chris

As others have said, your writing is quite something, the imagery was more than splendid, you sir may as well be a genius! Wording is playful, yet the narrator seems deep in thought and, perhaps a bit either worried or disappointed. It was a pleasure to read this piece, thanks for sharing.

If I am wise
it is because kindred souls
give me the gift of seeing
through their eyes
and share with me a world
far more beautiful
because their existence
makes it so.

I don't even know how to review your stuff. It is so REAL, so uniquely YOU. So cleverly constructed as to make anyone who has ever talked to you think "am I in there somewhere?" You are a cut above, in style, imagination, and execution of your poetic thought threads -- magical, your land, magical, it really is.

yeah, good philosophy here...and poets, wow, what a bunch....sometimes we are so in our own world, pondering the next thought to write down, it is impossible to hold a conversation with us...

don't talk to me...rather, read my poem and you'll know me...and in return i will read yours and know you...but let's leave the regular kind of conversation, the normal thing ----to others.
like you said "words to live by/ worlds some died ---by"
your concepts are so unique in a way...and yet...so often, we just read you and say...why didn't i think of that, or "why couldn't i put that concept into words like these?"

You amaze me... always have always will...your perception on life and how it consists of people, and to experience life fully you must experience people in their base level. You gather so much, from each person you pause with... emotions, thoughts, wishes, desires...even sorrow, anxieties, mourning, restlessness...and then your create beauty in thought and word form...like a mosaic you have taken a piece from each friend, each location, each thought provoked...and then you craft a gorgeous work of art. So I say ...you amaze me. Thank you for sharing and for being who you are.
