"...never..."

"...never..."

A Poem by Chris
"

I paused with Sharonlee's thoughts...

"
I paused with Sharonlee's thoughts...

"...never..."

I close my eyes and see

so much more than there always just was

- the magyk within

each breath and dream...

fingertips rustling the wind...

rainbows in raindrops,

all the echoes

in the tears I've shed and

in those I've softly brushed away.

I've shared haunted moments

and darknesses too.

Tasted life-happens as only IT does.

Been the last to walk ...away -

the last smile standing...

as the sun ...sets just THERE beyond my fingertips,

THERE - as my breath expands to transparency

and beyond...

petting the Cheshire cat and feeling it purrrrr...

Chris

Thank you Shar... ALWAYS and ever... for the thoughts that brought this.

follow that yellow brick road to something, whatever it is...yes.

and I like the thematic use of vision within...as Oedipus found out...being literally blind, physically blind actually allowed him, or better yet forced him to see more than he ever saw with two good eyes.

nicely done.

Chris, I do love what you see and feel . . . and make us see and feel.
Like good jazz playing, this felt good from the first note to the last; and, I wanted more; but was very satisfied with what I got.

I will check out Sharonlee.
