"Dear You,..."

"Dear You,..."

A Poem by Chris
"

Self - explanatory"

"
"Dear you,..."

Here its always just one-house away -
ya ever really know
I caught my breath - wishing
on the stars you walked beneath
- the ones that always "framed" your eyes
in my soul...

"Dear You,...

You looked so thought-full
at the cafe` today
- your eyes just       lost in the steam
floating away
I almost spoke - I did!
but...
I didn't know what to say
and when I did
know what to say
well, you arose and walked right by...
you had to leave
- and so did I.

"Dear You,..."

I lost some friends
my mouth is so dry the air hurts
but the shaking stopped - finally.
Its a man thing to not be that way
- you KNOW what I mean -
'round the guys.
I can't be me here
I guess I can't be me anywhere...
anymore.
We count the days
like its a prison sentence
and maybe it is
but when we get back -
who lets us out, from here
?

"Dear You..."

Do you know how many drops are in
a glass
of me?

I counted my breaths
as I watched it rain today
...got stuck on three
over-and-over
threethreethree
seems thats the number of me
- the beast
number
is 666 666 666
and mine is 3
three breaths
drips
steps
wishes
where are the falling stars
when the sky is full
of shadows...

"Dear You,..."

Sunlight and rainbows
music echoing so soft inside -
I love the feel
of you -
touching me
fingertips flowing and so lightly molding
all of you
all - of me

You take my breath - away
with each smile
each
look
each kiss just doesn't stop
I feel you so deep inside
so right
inside
I'm kissing me
being kissed by me
being held
I understand being you cause
you're me
and found

I guess by now you KNOW
"I Love You"...

"Dear You,..."

It was the final straw... they took
it
all
away
where do we go?  Where do I go?
Its all so unfair
tried
and tried
I don't understand
just don't understand...

"Dear You,..."

Somethings are still a pain in the -
you KNOW where
and still we always do what we must.
I was looking through some old boxes
in the basement.  Had to sit a bit -
get tired too easy and way too fast.
I found some unopened thoughts,
"Happy Birthday..."
Dear You.

Lovely, lovely write Chris. It brought tears to my eyes memories of the beloved washed over and through me---

my favorite line--

Do you know how many drops are in
a glass
of me?
