"Life - its just so unfair ~ "

"Life - its just so unfair ~ "

A Poem by Chris
"

The day after ---

"

A bit of examination followed by observation and introspection; ending in a historical retro-spect - 5-7-5-7-7 no less.  I must agree...

"Life - its just so unfair ~ "

A week of
nasally-stuffing sinus-seizing brazenly-c o l d,
umbrella-destruction-windy,
deeply-dark forebodingly winter-gray,
rain-swept-body-soaked
heart ground and ground
into the pavement,
days
- becomes
a s--l--o--w,
cinnamon-apple and hot-chocolate-scented-memoried,
sinfully toasty, beautifully resplendent
autumn-sun-drenched October
weekend saturday - afternoon...
where even the daymares have their own
comfy cosy to be cosily-comfy.

Now I understand
the ol' Dagwood comic strips -
all too well - uh huh...

Even genderless pillows
are Siren snuggle-bunnies.

What a dish of delerious delight .. methinks the cold has increased your wordy gifts and presented your readers with a brow of saddened frowns, a handful of smiles and then, a fleet of pigeons to carry get better soon messages. 'Even genderless pillows ~ are Siren snuggle-bunnies.' Love it!
A delightful poem and, let me add, a literary one. by heck! Feel fit and frisky very soon, Chris.

I've had those days too, where I felt I should have simply stayed in bed instead of venturing out into the world, instead of answering the phone (my biggest culprit as of late) nor should I have logged into facebook (which is the root of all evil as far as I'm concerned). Genderless pillows are siren snuggle-bunnies-so true. They don't kick you out of bed, they don't pass judgement, and their call seems so intense at times where no place on earth seems better than the comfort that they offer. Take care and hope the rest of the weekend as well as the following week goes better for you. *hugs*

You have such a way with words...they are beautifully colored and sing
such a story of life, and they belong only to you and your creation:))

uh oh, hope your feeling better, and the rest of your day gets better as well.
When I read the line: (comfy cosy to be cosily-comfy.) I immediately thought of Dagwood, then I read next line, hahaha.
