The Real Price of My Love (False Advertisement)

A Poem by Andre Waters II
"

Based off my personal thoughts about my love life and what I really want in a relationship. I've been in my feelings a lot of late.

"
I falsely advertise
myself with a head full of lies.
Don't need big b***s, don't need thick thighs,
just a pearly smile and glistening eyes.
I hide in my emotions, let them get the best of me.
Never let you get too close,
It's the worst you've yet to see.
But if you see any differently...

I don't care what you drive,
just as long as you know how.
I don't care where you live,
just as long as you're in town.
I've been too expensive putting myself at the highest cost
Starting my arbitration, changing the tag.
This is the real price of my love.

I'm not into the party scene
Rather stay at home, may never leave.
But I'm still adventurous, so please
disappear for a few days with me.
I'm not just one of those boys you can steal away
You'll need more than just that pretty face.
Want you to open your mind to me.
Flawless skin, but it's what's underneath
Cause I see love so differently.

I don't care what you drive,
just as long as you know how.
Don't care where you live,
just as long as you're in town.
I've been too expensive, putting myself at the highest cost.
Starting my arbitration, changing the tag.
This is the real price of my love.

And no, I don't care if you put on a few.
As long, as you don't act brand new.
My love won't change when we're older
You'll still look every bit beautiful
as you are right now.
I'll always wanna lay you down,
I'll never wanna see you frown,
and I'll always be here even after our time runs out.

I don't care what you drive,
don't care where you live.
I'll keep my heart well alive
with all the love that I give.

I don't care what you drive,
just as long as you know how.
Don't care where you live,
just as long as you're in town.
I've been too expensive, putting myself at the highest cost.
Screw the arbitration, I'm changing the tag.
This is the real price of my love.

I've been too expensive
with a love that's relentless.
I've been too expensive,
Now I'm changing expenses
I'm changing the tag,
this is the real price of my love.

Author's Note

Andre Waters II
I won't lie, I set a bar pretty high if you thought you could be my girlfriend, and this poem is simply me, keeping that same bar, but at a lower cost.

About
I've used warning signs, focal points and makeshift gauges. I've moved further than I ever thought I could, but I'm still missing a lot more than I thought I would. That doesn't stop me from moving cl.. more..
