My sons

My sons

A Poem by A. Fiorillo
"

For the moms and dads! :) xo

"
Two little boys that relentlessly play
Making hideaway forts
Through the night and the day
Begging me to stay out of their way

Dirt piles up as if there were ghosts
Playing tricks
to keep me on my toes
Dirty laundry that's up to my nose

Smeared muddied faces from playing outside
Racing up and down stairs
As one seeks and one hides
Living room wrestling from time to time

Laughter from the other room
As I sip tea and dance with my broom
I catch a glimpse and not a moment to soon
Two boys grown
and my heart goes BOOM!
