The Carpenter

The Carpenter

A Poem by Andromeda Lee

Consider the faith go the Carpenter, Joseph,

The Christ child’s mortal father.

Consider his legacy of hard work and love,

The example he set for the Savior.

He was chosen, as Mary, before coming to earth -

He was destined to raise up God’s Son.

Imagine his faith.

Imagine his fear.

Think of the magnitude of his sacred calling.

He rose to the challenge with prayer and great faith -

He rose to the challenge magnificently.

Joseph, the humble carpenter.

Joseph, who raised Jesus Christ.

Joseph, a man of great faith.
