Laundry Day

Laundry Day

A Poem by Andy
"

There is something I enjoy about a laundrymat, something cozy.

"

Rain, rain falling down

sky still bright, all around

cold, wet, black pavement

money changer there in front

heat and humidity surrounds

spinning faster...and faster

circles like a whirlwind

round and round till the end

stop...and settle, end of cycle

You seem to be a minimalist, Andy. Interesting that you could take something as mundane as laundry and make it seem alive with so few words. Very cool.

I'm there! Hehe, your imagery is so concrete. I can almost hear the machine and feel the bubbly floor. Nice piece. :)
