I vividly remember our first kiss, down at the pond beneath the old tree, like it was yesterday. Young heart thumping to jump out my chest, knees suddenly of jello as he feasted like a starving soul upon my willing warmth. Every nerve ending anticipating his every touch while exploring those wonderful kisses. His mouth married mine, making me his submissive minion. More and more I became addicted to the soft caresses of his fingertips. Hot lips burned a path down my unbuttoned blouse. Slowly pushing his shirt from his strong shoulders, leaving a wet trail with open lips and the tip of my tongue on his heavenly sweet tasting skin. His  scent had me drugged, and made me hungry for so much more, and when I opened my eyes and looked into his, they were so filled with beauty and love and he whispered, “I love you, I’m yours with heart and soul for forever and a day...,” and I let go of all restraint, and without fear I let myself glide into this incredible love, a love so strong it made him and me the center of the whole world. We were the world!!!

And now many years later, sitting here on our porch, looking down at the beautifully natural pond in the distance, listening to the birds chirping and the croaking frogs, my head rests on his shoulder, his strong arm holding me when he sighs, hugs me tighter, looks me in the eyes and whispers “I love you, I’m yours with heart and soul, for forever and a day...”

This little pond never ceased to spread its magic.

Nature takes part in the passions of the heart. I can feel the magic of the pond.
