Sufficating Seconds

As the words run through my head, it all becomes clear.
I see the people,
I look at there faces.
Smiling,
but as the voices wander into their heads, i see it.
Those big smiles are no longer present,
but fear, loneliness, and pain suddenly become clear.
I see the pain in there eyes.
The laughs now mute,
the joy succumb to pain..
I can feel it.

It's those split seconds,
those tiny moment of regret doubt,
that seem to haunt us the most.
Some of us have the misfortune of seeing it.
All the time,
It seems as though those tiny seconds become the longest hours.
What a terrible life to lead.
