Twilight Zone

Twilight Zone

A Poem by Angelica H

I am stuck in a twilight
Just waiting for a glare
Through the darkness I fight
With my weapon of despair

I feel caged
A cage filled with dismay
Detached from this world-disengaged
Like a hopeless, lost stray

My mind is tangled
Like tight close-knitted knots
My voice is strangled
I can't even speak my own thoughts

My heart is desensitized
It's had enough of discontent
it is now mechanized
To cast any future destructive intent

Fighting is getting strenuous
While ambition is reaching its end
And life continues to become more venomous
While my optimism slowly starts to descend
Black may blue June July's someday,
Black may blue June July's someday,
Black may blue June July's someday,
Black may blue June July's someday,
Black may blue June July's someday,
