Sparks

Sparks

A Poem by Meredith Grayson
"

A poem about intense chemistry between two people.

"

You are standing across the hall

And the sparks are flying off the wall

Whenever our eyes happen to meet

I see the sparks shooting

Underneath our feet

And when we feel our hands touch

My heart flutters so very much

Nobody knows it, except for us

We should just snap out of it

It's just a silly crush

Whenever we are in each others arms

If this world was falling apart, we wouldn't be alarmed

I feel safe when you're near me, yes you, my dear

You became my Superman, I call you when in fear

But the one thing that really makes the sparks fly

Is when your lips finally meet mine

It's moments like this that set the room on fire

Our love is so strong, we can hear the choir

It's too bad you might not the feel the way you should

Because if you did, I know life would be good

As the sparks start to die, the fantasy ends

Moments like these don't happen between friends

But do you feel it?

Do feel this spark inside your heart?

Do you feel the way I feel?

Or are we just growing apart?

I still don't know

If you feel it too

Do you see the sparks?

I see them too...
