Two Hearts

Two Hearts

A Poem by Kendra

I never really thought
that I meant that much.
Never really bought,
the lies and such.

That were poured from me.
Obnoxious and deceiving.
But now you see,
what I figured perceiving.

So I sit here.
Pondering my life and soul.
Choking on fear,
but trying to fight the cold.

I can't seem to fight
any of these jumbles.
With all of my might.
I love you molding around mumbles.

As sure as the sun sets,
like I told you.
All people place bets,
on how neither have a clue.

I'm looking though a molten pool,
of tears that leak across my face while my shoulders shake.
Always saying you act a fool,
and it makes this shattered penumbra break.

For once. For me. For you. For love. For sacrifice.
Take a chance and let it suffice.

Two cards, twisted forecast.
Two faces, individual blast.
Two people, that make me weak.
Two hearts, that I will never speak.
