To Birth a Song

To Birth a Song

A Poem by Angie

Strumming the cords

feeling the pull

the vibrations of

my restless soul

crows on a wire

begin to rise

oh, how silhouettes

scatter blue skies

I feel the fire

I let it climb

from fingertip

to eternal time

melody begins

breaking grey

the front porch step

silence of day

every sentiment

mild and strong

contract within me

to birth a song
