Cables

Cables

A Poem by Phalen Schuyler

Noisy security

That’s not love, you know

When the poised flounce about and hold their heads up high

Barbed wire silence

Bowed down, deformed lumbering

Scissor-shorn paper dolls

Rag shawls airborne in the wind

That’s just love, you know
