Bullet

Bullet

A Poem by Thisismythearpy
"

A poem about a bullet. I used to hang out with many veterans of World War two, Korea, and Vietnam when I was younger, and this is a poem from their experiences kinda.

"
Flying through the air
Without a care

Until it finds a home
Within flesh and bone

Penetrating and annihilating

Slowly draining life
Making a widow out of a wife

A man seemingly unmoved by this sight
Looks his comrade in the eye

The man said he did not hesitate to pull it
Later ended his life with a bullet
