Standing mirror

Standing mirror

A Poem by Thisismythearpy
"

Just another one of those stereotypical love poems I write about my life.

"
You would make us stand in front of a mirror
Looking at how good we looked together

We looked perfect
Even you said so

I wish you didn’t go
Now I stand in the mirror alone

Briefly trying to stand with others
I can never match with

They want to stand with me
But in the mirror I can never see

Anyone but us

Another well done piece. Hardly stereotypical: the mirror aspect is a new slant on an age-old theme.
