Rumbling rainA Poem by ThisismythearpySomething about not being able to focus, using alcohol to try to fix that, how alcohol isn't the answer, etc.Listening to the gentle rumble of the rain While you have a gentle rumble of your own A deep inner conflict of opposing voices None of which you can focus on As if your thought process is forever a haze Nothing ever seems clear Nothing can ever hold your attention You do not know what to do Seeking clairvoyance You try to make sense of what is happening Thorough controlled substances In which you have lost control of They may ease your mind Just keep in mind That every time in a substance you partake You take one step farther away From finding the true answer
