Crimes against ourselves

How we need forgiveness and validation from ourselves before others. Another drunk writing.

We seek retribution from the crimes in which we have committed

Though these crimes are not against others

They are against ourselves 

On the most subconscious level 

We must seek forgiveness for our behavior

While also granting it to ourselves 

We wish for validation from others 

Yet we also seek it from ourselves 

No amount of forgiveness and validation from your peers

Will ever settle your deepest fears

Of being nothing 

You must first accept and forgive yourself 

Before you can be forgiven and accepted by anyone else
