first poem I ever wrote

We Are nothing,

nothing but the ground

being stubborn and strong through tuff times

We are nothing

nothing but water

moving to the future and never looking back

we are nothing

nothing but fire

destorying everything that comes in our way

We are nothing

nothing but the sky

soaring high to chase our dreams

we are nothing

nothing but animals

Being Gentle and Tuff at the same time

We are nothing

Nothing but ourselves

Definitely one person's view of what we are. I love the imagery; appreciate the way you compared humanity to the different elements. That was nice. Reminds me a bit of the song by Kansas, Dust in the Wind.
