Staying With You

Staying With You

A Poem by ~Anita Sandlin~

Honey, you know that I love you,
so why do you worry that I will go?
When I told you that I loved you,
I meant every word that I spoke
with complete certainty.

Others in your past may have
confessed their love for you,
and then walked away;
But baby I promise you that I
am different, cause with you
is where I want to stay.

I can't go into the past and change
all the hurt that has been done to
you; But I can be, and will be the
one to make sure you are not hurt
in the present and the future.

So, I ask you to try not to worry,
cause I love you and with you I
always want to stay.
